I’ve just booked a return flight to the Big Granny Smith for 340ish quid, that’s seems like decent value to me. Is with Delta Airlines and direct from Manchester so even better. Fly out on April 1st, very apt for a bugger like me.

The Lonely Planet forum is the best resource I’ve found on-line for travel planning so far, by miles too. Replies (and decent ones at that) are received to posts in a matter of minutes, you can’t say that with the Baguley and Brooklands philately enthusiasts club forum. Lots of new machinations are the fruits of my research, a route to follow shortly. My new ‘chip enhanced’ passport (to the tune of 72 quid) is due on Monday ‘n all. Corr blimey, it’s all happening.

I am currently in the process of planning my first jaunt, which will be 3 months(ish) in the US of god damn A. At the moment it’s a toss up between two rough routes; flying to San Francisco from Manchester and then working my way down the west coast and nipping into Mexico (ever so briefly) before going through Texas and some of the Southern states and back up the east coast as far as Boston, or starting in New York and ending in New York having followed the entire border anti clock wise. A feasibility study is under way.

Lorem Ipsum – a cheap shot I know. You really aught to have a basic grasp of Latin if you’re going to, erm, blog. Check out the about section if you’re wondering why you’re here.
