Dead man’s hand

By Dan Bowen

I didn’t go out last night but it was another late one, stayed in the hostel and played Texas Hold ‘em (badly, at least on my part).

It’s 13:46 and I’m having a bit of trouble dragging myself out of bed, my belly is starting to rumble though so if anything will do it that will.

A massive bowl of honeynut Cheerios later and all is well again.

So by the time I’d shaved, showered etc. the day had gone. I’ve got tomorrow to see some more stuff though so I’m not bothered. The Museum of Fine Arts might get a look in.

I did sample the Quebec delicacy of poutine though. Me an Aussie and a German fella wandered down to a hip local restaurant for it. It’s chips, gravy and cheese curds basically (I had bacon as well), it’s also very greasey and very ruddy nice too.

The most dreadful looking food I have ever seen hardly roast beef and yorkshire pud

Granted, it does look rancid … Tastes a lot better though.

Umm, could murder a Yorkshire pud!
